Step 1
Study the specifications of your mobile devices. We are talking not only about laptops, but also about smartphones and tablet computers. Find out the types of wireless networks these devices work with. To do this, study the instructions or find the information you are interested in on the website of the manufacturer of specific equipment.
Step 2
Select a Wi-Fi router based on the information you received. Unpack the device and connect the power cord to it. Connect the equipment to a mobile or desktop computer. For this, use the patch cord that comes with the device.
Step 3
Connect the internet access cable to the dedicated port on the router. It is usually called WAN or Internet. Turn on the computer connected to the router. Launch your internet browser.
Step 4
Open the web interface of the network equipment. To do this, enter the required IP address into the address bar of your browser. Specify its meaning in the instructions for the device. Open the Internet menu and click the Setup Wizard button.
Step 5
Follow the step by step setup menu. Fill in all the required fields, guided by the requirements of your provider. It is worth noting that in some situations it makes more sense to use alternative configurations. Some routers, for example, work more stable with PPTP than L2TP.
Step 6
After setting up the connection with providers, open the Wireless Settings menu. Set your wireless network settings so that the required devices can connect to it.
Step 7
Reboot the Wi-Fi router after making the desired changes. To do this, press the corresponding button in the web interface or disconnect the power supply for a few seconds.
Step 8
Wait until the router is fully loaded. Connect mobile devices to the hotspot. Check your network connectivity.
