Instructions

Step 1

To integrate computers into a local network, you need to purchase the necessary equipment. Buy a "hub" (the number of ports must correspond to the number of personal computers or exceed it), a patch cord (a special cable that connects computers to a local network), network cards (if there are no built-in ones).

Step 2

At a specialist store, crimp the patch cord. You can do it yourself, but be careful, the quality of the connection directly depends on it.

Step 3

Select the location of the "hub". It should be approximately the same distance from each computer. Connect it to the network.

Step 4

Install network cards in the motherboards of each PC and install drivers for them. It is advisable to download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

Step 5

Insert the patch cord into the "hub" port and the other end into the network card of your computer. After that, the green light should come on. Do this for each personal computer.

Step 6

Now you need to configure the network for games. Go to the "Control Panel" and to the properties of the local network. You need to provide an IP address for each PC. The first computer should be 192.168.0.1, the second 192.168.0.2, and so on, depending on the number of computers. Specify the subnet mask 225.225.225.0. Now go to command prompt and enter 192.168.0.1-t. If the line "response from …" is sent, then the connection is configured correctly. Perform this operation, respectively, for each computer.

Step 7

Go to the game. Select the "Local network" mode. One of the personal computers should create a connection when you press the host key. After creating servers from other computers, you must click "connect".
