In the absence of unlimited access to the Internet from a mobile phone, it is convenient to connect it to a wireless network. This requires a device with a built-in Wi-Fi interface.
Instructions
Step 1
If you don't have a Wi-Fi phone, get one. Almost all mid-range smartphones released after 2008 are equipped with this feature. You can save a lot by buying a used device. If even such a smartphone is too expensive for you, the Nokia C3 keyboard single-tasking phone will do.
Step 2
Launch the browser installed on your phone that you are going to use to surf the Internet via Wi-Fi. Find a menu item in it that allows you to select an access point (APN). For example, in UCWEB: Settings - Preferences - Default APN. Select the search mode for wireless networks (in UCWEB: Search for WLAN). Save the settings.
Step 3
If you are going to connect to your own home Wi-Fi router, enter the URL of any site into the address bar of the browser, and then a search for wireless networks will automatically start. Choose your own among them, if necessary, enter the password to access it. The page will load soon.
Step 4
To connect to a Beeline Wi-Fi Free access point, for example, in a cafe, first launch the built-in browser of your phone. In it, also enable the mode of searching for wireless networks. When a list of them appears, select Beeline Wi-Fi Free. You do not need to enter a password. Enter any address - regardless of it, a special page will go to gain access to the network. Scroll all the way down and click on the button below. Wait for the message about successful connection. Now, without closing the built-in browser, launch a third-party application through the menu (Opera Mini, UCWEB, etc.) and start working on the Internet through it. The phone must be multitasking, otherwise you will have to use the rather inconvenient built-in browser to browse sites.
Step 5
After logging out and disconnecting from the wireless network, reconfigure your phone so that it can reconnect to the network over the cellular network.
