Instructions

Step 1

To disable banners in the Opera browser, open the program's installation directory in Program Files, and then open the folder containing the Plugins. Examine the plugins folder for obscure and suspicious files. Remove any files that end with the following: "lib.dll".

Step 2

After the suspicious plugins have been removed from the browser directory, proceed to uninstall scripts. Launch your browser and select the Preferences option from the main menu bar. In the preferences window, select the Tools option to open the tools section. Select the Advanced tab and then select the Content and Javascript Options sections. A new window will open in which you should find the User Javascript files item.

Step 3

The folder you found contains all the custom scripts that are used in your version of the internet browser. In the window that opens, select the "Browse" button, and then right-click on the User JS section and click on the "Open" item. A list of files will appear, among which you need to find files that end in the same way as the previous ones you deleted - lib.dll. Delete these files, and then erase the line with the address of the script folder in front of the browse button.

Step 4

If there is no address in this line at all, you can nevertheless find the folder - to do this, in Program Files, open the Opera folder, and then open the Profile folder and find the User JS folder inside it. Delete the entire folder, or sort the files inside it by deleting everything ending in lib.dll. After deleting the files, restart your computer and start your browser again - check if the banner has disappeared.
