In operating systems of the Windows family there are software packages that are launched automatically, i.e. without user intervention. Some of them are in the startup list, they are quite easy to remove. It is much more difficult to block the automatic launch of programs that are not in the startup list.

Step 1
To remove an application from the startup list, you must run the System Settings application. Click the "Start" menu and select "Run" or press the key combination Win + R. In the empty field of the window that opens, enter the command msconfig or select from the drop-down list if you entered this command before. Also, this application can be launched through the context menu of "My Computer".
Step 2
In the window that appears, go to the "Startup" tab, find the name of the program, the launch of which you cannot prevent and mark this line. Then click the "Apply" and "Exit without rebooting" buttons.

In some cases, the process you need in the startup list may not be. In this case, it is recommended to use the utility to block the launch of absolutely any application, an entry for which is present in the system registry. It should be noted that when using an operating system of the Windows 7 family, this application is already built into the shell.
Step 4
The installed program is launched through the desktop, for this double-click on the shortcut with the left mouse button. In the utility window that opens, you will see a list of all installed applications, the entries of which are in the registry.
Step 5
Blocking the necessary processes is done in two clicks. The first click must be done on the name of the program, leaving a corresponding mark on the line. The second click must be done on the Save button.

To block an application whose name is not in the list, click the Configure button at the bottom of the window. In the window that opens, you need to fill in two fields. The first Caption field is filled with the name of the blocked program to make it easier for you to navigate. In the second blank Executable File Name field, enter a file name. For example, for the WinRar archiver, you must specify winrar.exe. Now click the Add and OK buttons.
