Inserting a Yandex map on a website is a very convenient function that allows a potential client to avoid the need to find the way to the advertised organization on their own. The map can be easily placed both on a large resource and on a one-page business card site.
The advantages of Yandex cards are that you can choose a dynamic option. That is, it will not be just an image capturing a point (organization) and several nearby streets, but a working tool that allows you to zoom and build routes. This option is much more convenient for the site visitor and immediately increases the percentage of positive perception of the company's image.

Before providing the site owner with the map tool, Yandex asks to register. The process is simple and takes no more than a couple of minutes. After that, using your username and password, you need to go to the "Maps" section (https://api.yandex.ru/maps/). The page that opens will be called the Yandex. Maps API.
For further work, you need an API key. To get it, you need to click on the "Get API Key" link at the bottom left of the page in the "For Developers" column. After that, a small form for registering a project (site) appears, after filling out which and accepting the user agreement (to Yandex's credit, it must be said that it is not so large and quite readable), the system issues a unique identifier, also known as an API key.
Creating and editing a map
Together with the API identifier, Yandex provides a ready-made html code that inserts a Yandex map into the site in its standard form (that is, it does not yet have the required organization). The necessary changes are made in the "Map Constructor" tab. In the line "Find a place on the map" enter the address, then press the button "find". The map highlights the desired house and displays a window where you can add all the necessary information (for example, "our office is on the third floor").
After specifying the parameters characterizing the dedicated house as the address required by the client, and clicking "OK", you can select the scale of the map and its type (static or interactive). Among other things, the interface allows you to add other objects to the same map, indicate a route map, etc. As a result, Yandex issues a new html-code, upon insertion of which the newly created map appears on the site.
The map can be inserted into any convenient part of the site. Sometimes this is done in place of blocks for advertising, which are also often placed precisely by means of html-code. For an experienced developer, this will not be difficult, and beginners can use ready-made website templates that have special blocks for inserting html objects.
