Finding out which sites the user visited on the Internet may be required in different situations. There are several ways to solve the problem, but, as a rule, only one is available to an ordinary user.
Instructions
Step 1
Having the relevant documents, law enforcement agencies can request information about the user's activity on the network from the provider. This method is not available to individuals, so we can only hope that the browser installed on the computer retains information about the sites visited. In different browsers, menu items and commands may have different names, but their semantic meaning is the same. The Mozilla Firefox browser is taken as an example.
Step 2
Launch your browser and open the Library window. To do this, in the "Log" menu, select "Show entire log". In the left part of the window that opens, place the cursor on the "Journal" item. The central part will display the periods for which you can view the history of site visits. Alternatively, click on the [+] icon located in the History row to expand a branch with viewable periods.
Step 3
Left-click on the period you are interested in (current or previous day, seven-day or monthly period). In the expanded list, all resources will be presented in order of priority - from the last viewed site to the very first. To go to a specific site, double-click on its address with the left mouse button.
Step 4
The log also contains information about the files that the user uploaded. To view them, click on the "Downloads" item in the "Library" window. To re-download the file and view it, double-click on the resource you are interested in with the left mouse button. Information about downloaded files can be obtained in another way: in the browser menu "Tools" select "Downloads", a new window will open with the names and formats of files, as well as indicating the time when they were downloaded.
Step 5
To erase the traces of your presence on the Internet, use the "Erase recent history" command in the "Tools" menu, select the necessary items ("Active sessions", "History of visits and downloads", "Forms and search history"), click on the "Clear now”and confirm your actions.
