On a personal computer, it happens that there is no way to disconnect from the Internet. The connection seems to become permanent, and there is a connection to the Internet even when, in fact, it is not needed.
Instructions
Step 1
First way to disable:
- Call the Taskbar;
- In the right corner of the panel there should be a connection icon in the form of flashing monitors;
- It is necessary to click on it with the right mouse button once, calling the menu for further actions;
- In the list that appears, select the line "Disconnect" (in some operating systems and for different connections, this line may be called "Disconnect").

Step 2
Second way to disable internet connection:
- Go to the "Start" menu;
- Find the "Connection" tab in it, move the mouse cursor over it to call a pop-up menu;
- In the list that appears, select the last line - "Show all connections";
- In the "Network Connections" window that opens, you need to find the Internet connection that you want to disconnect, and right-click on it;
- In the list that opens, select the line "Disable" or "Disconnect";
Step 3
There is another, non-software way to disable the Internet connection. For its implementation, it is enough to disconnect the modem or, in the case of an Ethernet connection, pull out the cable for connecting to the computer's network card from the computer. It is worth remembering that this method carries the risk of failure and breakdown of the modem or computer network card.
