There are still conservative Internet users who still need nothing from the global network except e-mail. In some regions of Russia there is a service of unlimited access to a special mail server.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out which of the operators in your region provides the service of unlimited access to mail only, and what it is called. For example, in Moscow, such an operator is Megafon, and the service is called Mobile Mail.
Step 2
Consider if you really need unlimited access to mail only. Over the past two years, operators have significantly reduced the cost of full unlimited Internet access, so today this service is not as relevant as it used to be.
Step 3
On the operator's website, find a description of how to connect to the service. For example, in order to activate the above-mentioned service of the Moscow "Megafon", send the following message to number 5040: "start" (without quotes).
Step 4
Correctly set the access point (APN) in the phone and in the connected computer.
Step 5
To get access to a special site through which the service is provided, without traffic billing, use: - built-in mobile phone browser; - browser connected to the phone computer. To avoid traffic billing, do not use for this: - browsers for phones that work through a proxy; servers (Opera Mini, BOLT, UCWEB and others); - Opera browser in Opera Turbo mode (when this mode is disabled, you can use it); - any anonymizers and similar intermediary services.
Step 6
On your computer, configure the one of the browsers that you use least often so that it does not automatically execute requests to any other servers, except for the special server through which the service is provided, otherwise these requests will be charged. It is this browser that you use in the future to access the server. Visit the rest of the sites from the browser that you used before, and the billing will be normal. Billing will be common for any other actions on the Internet, for example, updating antivirus. In Linux, you can check which servers are being accessed at the moment using the netstat utility.
Step 7
Immediately after registration, the first thing to do is change your username to one that cannot be used to guess your phone number.
Step 8
If you wish, connect your mailboxes on the other servers on the service website. The service server will automatically collect mail from them using the POP3 or SMTP protocol. Configure the service in such a way that the originals of messages are not deleted from the server.
