Today, there are four most popular mail services in Runet: mail.ru, yandex.ru, google.com and rambler.ru. These companies are a bit crowded on the market, so they do not let go of users easily and the “delete” button is not so easy to find. But it is there. The main thing to remember is that by deleting a mailbox, you are also deleting all subscriptions, mailings, linked photo hosting sites and the like, if you have them, of course.
Instructions
Step 1
You can delete a mailbox on mail.ru by following the link https://e.mail.ru/cgi-bin/delete. The page warns you that you will lose by deleting the box and offers to indicate the reason why you are parting with the portal. After you enter your current password in the field below, the mailbox will be blocked, and all letters contained in it will be deleted. The registered name will only be released three months later
Step 2
To delete a mailbox on Yandex, you need to log in (enter the mailbox name and password) and log into Yandex Passport. In the upper right corner of the passport interface, find the active "Settings" link and follow it. In the menu on the left, find the line "Delete mailbox". After clicking it, enter the current password and click the "Delete" button. The mailbox has been deleted.
Step 3
The mailbox on Google (Gmail) is also deleted through the settings. In the "Accounts" tab, click on the "Google Account Settings" link. On the right, under the line "My services", click on the "Change" button. Then select "Remove Gmail Service". The box has now been removed.
Step 4
The Rambler service does not provide its users with the ability to delete a mailbox on their own. Instead, it offers to send a letter to tech support at: [email protected]. In the letter, indicate that you would like to delete the mailbox and indicate the name of the mailbox and password. Please note that this will give the administrators full access to it.
