The main problem when sending films by mail is their size, and the rest of the procedure is no different from sending, for example, a file with an image. The simplest solution to this problem is to split the file (or files) to be sent into the optimal size for the transfer.
It is necessary
WinRAR archiver
Instructions
Step 1
Divide the movie into parts, the size of which will not exceed the limit set by your postal service. The easiest way to do this is using the WinRAR archiver. If it is not yet installed on your system, then find it on the Internet, download and install - this program will often be useful, its use will not be limited to just sending a movie. After the archiver is installed, proceed to the next steps.
Step 2
Launch Windows Explorer to locate the movie files and create a multivolume archive from them with parts of the desired size. Double-click the My Computer shortcut on your desktop, or press the WIN + E keys.
Step 3
Navigate in Explorer to the folder that contains the movie files and select all of them. If this directory contains only the files that you want to send, and there is nothing unnecessary, then it is enough to select the folder itself.
Step 4
Right-click on the selection and select "Add to archive" from the context menu - this will open the settings window for the archive being created.
Step 5
Specify the size limits for the archive parts in the field under the "Divide into volumes in size (in bytes)" field. Look for it in the lower left corner of the General tab of the preferences window. It is most convenient to indicate the size in megabytes - they are indicated by the addition of the letter m. For example, a maximum size of 15 megabytes should be written in this field as 15 m. You can use the notation M (millions of bytes), k (kilobytes), K (thousand bytes).
Step 6
Click the "OK" button and the archiver will pack your movie into a multivolume archive. Each file will have a suffix with the file number in the name, for example, film.part001.rar, film.part002.rar, etc. To return the movie to the form in which it was before packaging, the recipient will need to double-click any of these files, and the WinRAR archiver installed on him will do the rest.
Step 7
Create a letter in the usual way and attach the first of the archive files to it. To do this, you can use both a resident program (mail client) and the web interface of any mail service. To attach a file to a message when using an email client, just drag and drop it onto the text of the message. To do this, find the "Attach file" link in the web interface and use it.
Step 8
Send the first file to the recipient, remembering to fill in all the required fields and write the accompanying text. Then repeat this procedure for each of the remaining archive files.
