Participating in various competitions and quizzes for movie lovers, you can often face the task of guessing the film from the fragment presented from it. Sometimes the task is complicated by the fact that an unremarkable shot is selected.

Instructions
Step 1
The search method largely depends on the location of the picture by which you need to guess the movie. If you have the opportunity to save the image to your computer, use the Google search engine to solve the problem, using the presented frame as a request. Open the search program window and click the More tab, then All Products. After that, a window will open in front of you with a list of all available Google capabilities.
Step 2
Select the link: "Search by image". Click on it, you will see the "Google Images" window. Click on the camera icon next to the search bar and select the method for uploading the image: "Upload file" or "Provide link". Before downloading the file, save the still frame from the movie to your hard drive. Then click the Browse button and select the saved file. After you specify it, the program will immediately start searching for all web pages associated with this image.
Step 3
In the event that you do not have an image on your computer (the image is posted in a magazine, newspaper, etc.), use other search options. Analyze the presented frame. If there are no people (actors) on the demonstrated fragment, but, for example, a natural landscape is depicted, it is rather difficult to guess such a picture. There are many films with similar locations, so it is very easy to confuse one film for another.
Step 4
Any additional objects or objects in the frame make the task a little easier. For example, even an icon hanging on the wall from a certain angle can tell a connoisseur of cinematographic art that he is looking at a fragment of A. Tarkovsky's film “Andrei Rublev”.
Step 5
Pay attention to household items, if they are present in the picture, try with their help to clarify the historical period of the narrative. If there is a car in the frame, its model can be used to accurately determine the time of action, and sometimes the country. For example, the GAZ-21 "Volga" car immediately transports the viewer to the Soviet Union, in the sixties and seventies. Perhaps before you is a shot from Eldar Ryazanov's film "Beware of the car".
Step 6
Try to understand in which country the film was filmed, based on the appearance of the streets, the interior decoration of the premises, the appearance of the characters (if any). Well, if you can determine the genre of the film (action, melodrama, comedy, fantasy, horror), this will significantly narrow the boundaries of your search.
Step 7
If there are actors in the frame, and you know them, but you cannot remember the film itself, open their filmography and carefully read them. You may immediately see the title you were looking for. If you have any difficulties, try to roughly determine the age of the actors depicted in the fragment. Review the corresponding part of the filmography, this will reduce the overall search time.
Step 8
Take advantage of the search query capabilities. For example, the presented fragment depicts Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov riding a cart with a girl. Let's say you recognize the young girl Elena Proklova. Enter in the search bar of your browser something like this: "A film with Oleg Tabakov and Elena Proklova." And at least one of the resources presented will give you the result: "Shine, shine, my star." Using search engines makes it much easier to correctly identify a movie.
