The data on the load of system resources can be important in order to find out which processes "slow down" the computer the most. It can be determined by standard means of the operating system or using special programs.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to determine the workload is to view it using the Windows Task Manager. In order to launch the Task Manager, press and hold simultaneously three buttons on the keyboard - "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del". After opening the Task Manager, go to the "Performance" tab. The system load is displayed in this window using various graphs and numbers. In the upper left corner, the degree of CPU utilization is displayed, to the left of it - the chronology of its load in the form of a graph, below - the volume of the paging file load, to the left - the chronology of its use. At the bottom of the window there is information about the physical memory load, as well as the kernel memory.
Step 2
Another way to determine the load is associated with the use of programs for system diagnostics. One of the best programs of this kind is Everest. Download and install this program on your computer, then run it. In the left part of the program window there are all devices and components, the status of which can be obtained. Click on the line "Motherboard". In order to find out the workload of the central processor, click on the "CPU" line in the drop-down list; to get information about the workload of the RAM, click on the "Memory" line in the same list.
Step 3
If you use a computer running the Windows 7 operating system, you can also monitor the system load directly in real time using the so-called "gadgets" of the desktop. In order to activate a gadget, right-click anywhere on an empty spot on the desktop and select the "Gadgets" command. In the window that opens, select a gadget that monitors the system load and click OK. Now the information about the load will always be visible on the screen in the form of counters that resemble a speedometer.
