To make your site yourself, you need to know programming languages. If before you had no idea about tags, the structure of web pages and other terms, then writing (creating) a site can take much more than one or two days. To create a simple web page, you will have to familiarize yourself with HTML, text editors and cascading tables, learn about the structure of a web page, and other fun things. You will have to read a lot of literature on this topic, although a purposeful person can handle a lot. Sooner or later you will achieve your goal, but you can do it differently.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have no time or desire to study the whole "inside out", you can make it easier. First you need to come up with a domain name and register it.
Step 2
Then create an account on any hosting you like. See what services this or that hoster offers, how it provides support (read reviews), how wide the range of services provided - and other characteristics you are interested in. Of course, the price of services also plays a significant role, so evaluate everything in the complex. It is worth noting that some hosting providers offer the ability to immediately select a CMS on their sites, both on a commercial and free basis. This will make our task easier.
Step 3
Look at examples of sites running on a particular CMS. Decide which content management system is right for you: some are convenient for forums, others for personal sites, and still others for online stores. Choose the right content management system depending on the topic of your future site. Free CMS include Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Mambo, Alfresco, SilverStripe, paid ones - NetCat, UMI. CMS and others.
Step 4
Download the selected CMS and, if everything went well, you can start working on the site. To do this, go to the site through the administrative panel, customize the site at your discretion: prescribe the logo, site name, short description, install the template (theme) corresponding to the topic. In a word, you give the site individuality.
Step 5
Fill the site with materials. The site, of course, is better to fill with unique texts, and not copied from other web pages. Either write articles yourself, or purchase ready-made content on any of the text exchanges, or order writing articles to a specific web-writer. The first batch of articles has been posted - the site is ready! But in order for visitors to come to it and regular subscribers to appear, regularly fill the site with interesting articles for your audience, competent articles.
