Quite often, bloggers in their projects use not only text-format content, but also audio and video recordings from popular sites, for example, YouTube or RuTube. This cannot be done using the visual editor, but there is still a way out - installing an additional plug-in.

Instructions
Step 1
It is recommended to update the version of the Wordpress platform on the official website. Plugin files can be downloaded from the application download page https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/video-embedder, or you can immediately copy the localized version from the following link
Step 2
The contents of the archive must be copied to the wp-content / plugins folder on the site. To do this, you need to use the FileZilla ftp manager. Also, any plugin can be installed directly through the web interface of the administrative panel of your site. To do this, on the left side of the page, click on the "Plugins" section heading and select "Add new".
Step 3
On the loaded page, click on the "Download" link. Then click the "Browse" button and in the window that opens, double-click on the video-embedder.zip archive. Click the "Install" button and wait until it finishes downloading. Click the "Return to plugins page" link to proceed to configuring installed add-ons.
Step 4
In the settings of this application, only the tags that you will use will be indicated. Copy them new into a text document so that you don't have to load the plugin settings page again.
Step 5
To add a video clip, use, for example, the YouTube service. To place the video on your site in the page editor, enter the [youtube] tag. The value of the paired tag will be the characters contained in the link after the equal sign. For example, for the link https://www.youtube.com/embed/R_h0mBEnwgc the video embed code will look like this - [youtube] v = R_h0mBEnwgc [/youtube].
Step 6
Videos from other video services will be displayed in the same way - copy the code and put it in a special tag, remembering that the closing tag must contain a slash ("/").
