To speed up the loading of revisited sites, browsers save files on the computer's hard drive. This storage is commonly referred to as the "cache" of the browser. From time to time, the browser deletes files that remain unclaimed for a long time. But sometimes it becomes necessary to manually clear the cache. A similar situation happens with cookies - files in which the sites we visit save various information about us in order to retrieve and use it from there if necessary.
Instructions
Step 1
In the Mozilla FireFox browser, to clear the cache and cookies, select the "Settings" item in the menu in the "Tools" section. The "Settings" window will open, in which, on the "Privacy" tab, we are interested in the lowest button labeled "Clear now". By clicking it, we will get to the "Delete personal data" dialog box, where you should check the boxes opposite the "Cache" and "Cookies" items. All that remains is to press the "Delete now" button.
Step 2
In Internet Explorer, you can get to the options we need, if in the "Tools" section of the top menu, select "Internet Options". A window will open where we need the "General" tab, where we need to click the "Delete" button in the "Browsing history" section. In the "Delete browsing history" window that appears, there are buttons we need - "Delete files" to clear the cache and "Delete cookies" to clear cookies.
Step 3
And in the Opera browser, the shortest way to the options for clearing the cache and cookies is through the "Main menu" of the browser. In the "Settings" section of this menu, we are interested in the "Delete personal data" item. By clicking on it, we will open the corresponding dialog box. We need to expand the complete list of data to be deleted. To do this, click the "Detailed settings" label and make sure that there are labels in the list that opens opposite the "Clear cache" and "Delete all cookies" items. It is also necessary to check what exactly will be deleted along with the cache and cookies, before clicking the "Delete" button. Pay attention to the removal of passwords - uncheck the corresponding boxes if you do not need to remove them.
