Yandex has a special function - the ability to assign a region to a site. This allows web resources to rise higher in a specific area. And if your site on its subject can be tied to any region, then this opportunity will be very useful to you.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the theme of the site. Is geographic location important to your company? You can assign regions to the website of a company operating in a specific city. Regular web resources do not need this function.
Step 2
Add the site to the "Webmaster" service from Yandex. This can be done at the link https://webmaster.yandex.ru/site/add.xml. Confirm your rights to manage the site and proceed with the settings. Find the "Additional Information" section, in it - "Site Region". It is here that you can determine to which city Yandex has assigned your resource. However, this opportunity is open only for sites with Titz above 10. After that you will be taken to a page where you need to confirm the regionality of the resource. To do this, you need to enter the address of the company or contacts of employees.
Step 3
For some sites, Yandex automatically assigns a region. But what if your location is incorrectly determined by the search engine? Again, go to the "Webmaster" on the regional settings page. Enter the region you need here. Don't forget to fix the cause of the Yandex error. Perhaps it's the address on the contact page.
Step 4
If you own not one, but several similar sites located on subdomains, all of them will initially be assigned one region. However, so often the sites of the company's branches are located in different cities. If this is your case, you will need to contact Yandex support. You can do this through the feedback system. In the letter, briefly describe the problem and ask for each subdomain to assign a specific region (be sure to indicate them). Note that you can assign up to 8 regions. You will also need confirmation that the branches of your company are located in other cities. Again, the section with contacts will help.
Step 5
If it is impossible to prove the address of the branches, the assignment of different regions to the subdomains of the site will be denied.
Step 6
You can also assign the "Russia" region to the site. You will need to provide information that your product is distributed within the country.
