The Beeline USB modem is designed to access the Internet wherever there is a mobile network coverage. This device supports data transmission using networks of the GSM generation as well as 3G. Setting up such a modem will take a few minutes.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a Beeline USB modem at any office of this operator. Together with the modem, it will be necessary to conclude a contract for the provision of mobile Internet services. This contract is similar to a contract for the provision of mobile services, and in order to conclude it, you will need a passport and an amount of money equal to a monthly subscription fee.
Step 2
After purchase, plug the modem into the USB port of your computer. Immediately after that, the installation of the software "sewn" into the internal memory of the modem will begin. During the installation process, a driver will be installed on the device, as well as a special application for working with a SIM card. After finishing the installation of the software, restart your computer, and then run the program using the shortcut "USB-modem Beeline".
Step 3
After starting the program, the modem control window will open. Before the first access to the Internet, it is necessary to activate the starting balance of the modem. To do this, go to the "Account Management" tab, in the left part of the window, click on the line "Activate the starting balance" and in the lower right corner of the window, click on the "Activate" button. Then check your balance. To do this, in the left part of the window, click on the line "My balance" and in the same lower right corner of the window, click on the button "Check balance". Wait for the network to respond and make sure your balance is positive. After that, you can go online.
Step 4
Before connecting to the Internet, find out if your modem is within the coverage area and what kind of wireless connection is supported in the area. If the LED on the modem is red, the network signal is not received, if it is green, the network supports EDGE data transmission. If the LED is blue, the modem is picking up a 3G signal. To connect, go to the "Connection" tab and click on the "Connect" button. After a few seconds, the modem will connect to the network, accompanied by a beep.
