Opera's Turbo mode is used to speed up page loading when browsing the internet on computers with slow internet connections. This option can be activated automatically if there is an unstable Internet connection. Also, the mode can be manually adjusted using the appropriate setting.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Opera browser and start browsing the Internet. Pay attention to the speedometer icon in the lower left corner of the program, which is located on the resource loading status bar. When you hover over it, you will see the state of the service at the moment - whether it is enabled or not. If the mode is disabled, the message "Turbo mode disabled" appears.
Step 2
The Turbo icon turns green every time a download is performed in this mode. At the same time, the data on the saved amount of data and the missed traffic is shown in the status bar. Click on the speedometer icon with the left mouse button to disable this mode.
Step 3
To change other Opera Turbo settings, click on the small triangle to the right of the option icon. In the context menu that appears, select "Configure Turbo Mode", after which you will be offered several options for settings.
Step 4
So, after selecting the "Automatic" mode, Opera will start Turbo only if there is a slow network connection. If you select the Enabled option, optimization will be enabled for all resources, regardless of their download speed or interface issues. By putting the switch in the "Disabled" mode, you activate the loading of pages without the use of this technology.
Step 5
By setting the "Automatic" mode and activating the "Notify about the connection speed" option, you will receive messages about enabling the setting every time. If you experience certain difficulties while connecting to the Internet, Opera will automatically activate the required parameter, which, possibly, will speed up the process of browsing a particular resource.
