Every player who has played GTA 4 at least once wanted to listen to their own music in the car. Users have found several ways to help embed their favorite tracks into the game.
The main method
First, you need to select all the music that you want to listen to in the GTA 4 game with the mouse. After that, create a copy of these tracks (right mouse button - copy) and paste it into a folder located in Local Drive C - Users - "Your account" - My Documents - Rocstar games - GTA 4 - User Music. This folder does not need to be renamed, you just need to move the music. Next, you need to start the game itself and click the "Options" button. In the options, select the "Audio" section and click on the Comlete Scan button. After that, the process of downloading your music will go, which you can observe in the lower right corner of the screen. Then we go into the game itself, sit in any car and select the radio called "Independence FM". This radio only plays custom music. If you wish, you can switch the track yourself by pressing the N (next) or B (previous) key.
Alternative way
This method is much simpler than the original one. Go to "Local Disk C" and create a new folder called "music". Right-click on this folder and select "Create shortcut". Rename the shortcut to "music" and mix it into Users - "Your Account" - My Documents - Rockstar games - GTA 4 - User Music. Next, in the "music" folder, which is located on the C drive, we move the music that you want to hear in the game. Please note that the name of the composition does not contain Russian letters. After that, go into the game and perform the "Full Scan". To do this, go to Options and click on Comlete Scan. With the help of scanning, the game will find all the songs and integrate them into the game on its own.
Extra options
If you look at the item "Independence FM", which is located in "Audio", you can easily change the playback mode of your songs on this radio. There are three modes in total: "Random", "Radio" and "Sequential". In Shuffle mode, the tracks will play in any order. In "Radio" your songs will also be played in any order, but there are various advertisements and DJ lines. By the way, real radio from your music. In "Sequential" mode, user tracks will be produced in the order in which they are built in the "music" folder. You can easily change the sequence by renaming the music to "1", "2", and so on.
