We love to share with friends and loved ones the happy moments of our life: we show photos from vacation, record comic messages on a dictaphone and easily transmit them via the Internet. But how do you send a large file, such as a home video or a video of a wedding?

Instructions

Step 1

The main problem when sending large files is that the connection may fail due to technical reasons. Unfortunately, no one is immune from this. So if you or your interlocutor have a low Internet connection speed, it will be quite difficult to transfer information online. However, there are several ways to transfer large files.

Step 2

The modern e-mail service allows you to send files up to 2 GB in size in a letter - this size can fit a standard film of about an hour and a half. In this case, the transfer is not carried out from letter to letter, but the file is placed on the site - your e-mail domain server.

Step 3

Log in to your mailbox and click the "Write a letter" button. As usual when composing emails, select the recipient, specify the subject of the message, if necessary. Click on the "Attach file" button. With its help, you can attach small documents to the letter. But you will see an additional button "Attach a file up to 2 GB". Click on it and in the "Browse" line specify the path to the file on your computer that you want to share with your interlocutor.

Step 4

Click the "Attach" button. Large files are uploaded to an electronic service and stored there for up to two months free of charge or up to a year, subject to your payment of a certain fee. Send a letter, and your recipient will receive a message with a link that will direct him to a specific folder in the storage. In this case, the information you uploaded will be available only to those users whom you have included in the mailing list. The user on the other end of the "wire" will only have to click on the "Download" button and wait until the download of the large file to his computer is completed. However, you do not need to stay online.

Step 5

If you can leave your computer on for a long time, you can transfer large files through online communication services such as ICQ and Skype. In this case, the recipient must be present in your contact list, and the function of receiving information must be enabled in its settings. To reduce the time, you just need to "drag" the file you need into the dialog box in which the correspondence takes place. After your interlocutor allows uploading information to his computer, the file transfer will begin. It is very important that both computers "connected" to each other remain connected to the Internet until the download is complete.
