Stone in Minecraft is the most common block. Basically, mountains consist of it, it is he who hides under a layer of earth. But getting a stone in the game is quite difficult at the same time.
The fact is that when mining stone in minecraft with ordinary tools, you can only get cobblestone, it is the main material for the first buildings, and with its help you can make a set of the first relatively durable tools. However, for "terraforming" or for creating a particular building, you may need a regular smooth stone, you can get it in the game in two ways.
Smelting cobblestone
The easiest way to smelt cobblestones into stones is in conventional ovens. Most often, when exploring caves, players find a huge amount of cobblestone, digging holes and getting to valuable ores. You should not throw out all the mined cobblestone, if space in your inventory allows, it is better to have a chest or chests at home to store this resource. Sometimes there is an urgent need to make a stone, and if you have a stock, you will not have to spend time mining the source material. It is best to use multiple ovens to melt the cobblestones into stones, as this speeds up the process significantly.
It makes sense to apply enchantment to diamond tools, since they are durable.
Stoves can be made on a workbench by placing eight cobblestones in a ring. After installing the stoves on the ground, it is necessary to lay coal or buckets of lava in the lower slots, and cobblestones in the upper slots. Please note that furnaces (like other items) only work if you are near them, these are the features of the game world. So during the melting, it is advisable to equip the territory of the house, to engage in farms or other useful things so that the process does not stop.
Silk touch
The second method is suitable for advanced players, it is much more expensive. That being said, if you actively explore caves and dig mines with an enchanted pickaxe, it can become much faster. For this method, you need to get a pickaxe with the "Silk Touch" enchantment. This enchantment allows you to extract blocks in the form in which they are present "in nature". Stones can be mined from stones, not cobblestones, from blocks of valuable mycelium - mycelium (when mining with an ordinary tool, you can only get earth).
You can enchant the book in the village with the librarian, and the tool - with the priest, for this you need to find the village. These natural structures can only be found in savannah, desert or plain. If you started the game in one of these regions, finding a village might make sense. For enchanting items, residents usually want to get emeralds, so you should stock up on these rare stones in advance and do not forget to take them with you when going in search of the village. After finding this structure, go around it in search of a librarian and priest. The first is dressed in a white robe, the second in purple, to start interacting with them, right-click on them. It is impossible to say in advance at what attempt you will be able to enchant a book or instrument with Silk Touch, so take more emeralds with you.
You can use pre-enchanted books to get a specific effect. You can transfer the enchantment to the tool on the anvil.
Unfortunately, it does not give guarantees of getting exactly the "Silk Touch" and self-enchanting on the enchanting table. In addition, to create it, it is necessary to extract diamonds and obsidian, which takes a lot of time and effort. To enchant, you need to spend a certain amount of experience, which can be obtained by mining certain ores or killing monsters. The enchantment is applied to the instrument randomly, their level depends on the spent experience.
