Step 1
If you want to remove the emoticons installed using add-ons for the Mozilla Firefox browser, go to the extensions list menu and find the one that enables the display of the smiley menu in the message entry and editing window. After that, click on the "Disable" or "Remove" button, depending on whether you will need this extension in the future.
Step 2
If you want to remove smilies that are additionally installed in the messaging client you are using, go to the folder of the files of this program installed on your computer and find the directory containing these elements. Delete it, having previously saved the working configuration just in case.
Step 3
Check your messaging client's menu, find the settings panel, and see if it has an option to disable the display or completely remove the emoticons you have installed.
Step 4
If emoticons for any program were installed by downloading an additional utility, find it in the list of programs in the computer control panel, then select and click the "Uninstall" menu item. Wait for the emoticons to be uninstalled from your computer. Please note that at the time of their removal, you need to close the programs that use them, otherwise all actions will be inaccessible or harm the program.

Be careful when installing additional programs with emoticons in your computer programs, they can be used to jointly install malicious utilities that send login information to user accounts, after which your accounts are hacked. This is especially true for browser extensions. Among them, select only those for installation that have positive user reviews and the largest number of downloads.
