Internet browsers have a history of links to sites that you have visited recently. This feature allows you to display a list of suggestions when you start typing the site name into the address bar. This is very useful if you do not remember the exact name of the site, however, when the saved links are reloaded, the drop-down list can be very large, which is often annoying. In this regard, it is worth cleaning it from time to time.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to the "History" menu of the Mozilla Firefox browser. A window will appear in which you must click on the "Show entire log" button. A similar result can be obtained if you press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + H. Highlight the period during which you followed the links that you want to delete. You can clear the entire list or just a part of the sites that you don't need. Right-click on the selection and select the Delete command or press this button on the keyboard. In the upper right corner of the window there is a search field in which you can specify the name of the link you want to remove if you don’t remember the period when you visited it.

Step 2

Open the "Tools" menu of the Opera browser. Go to "General Preferences" or just press the key combination Ctrl + F12. Select the "Advanced" tab in the window that appears and rewrite in the "History" menu. If you want to delete the entire history of Internet surfing, then click on the "Clear" button located in the top toolbar. If you want to remove only a part of Internet links, then press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + H and select the required site addresses. Press the Delete button on your keyboard.

Step 3

Click on the image of the wrench in the Google Chrome browser to go to its settings. Select "Options", then go to the "Advanced" tab and find the "Personal Information" menu. Check the box "Clear browsing history" and click on "Clear browsing data".

Step 4

Launch Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu, where select Internet Options. Click on the "Browsing History" tab and click on the "Delete" button. You can also mark links that do not need to be deleted and put a tick next to the corresponding item.
