Download additional emoticons that you want to upload to ICQ. Open your browser and go to the website https://smiles.ru/. Save your favorite emoticons to your computer

Run the icq 7.4 program, if you have it installed. To add smilies to ICQ, you need to do the following. Actions in this version will be similar for other versions of the program. To add smilies to ICQ, you need to do the following. Open a chat window with any contacts from your list. Click on the arrow next to the smiley button. Select the item “manage custom emoticons.” Next, the window for managing custom emoticons will open, most likely, the inscription “you do not have emoticons now” will appear in it. To fix this and install new emoticons, click the "Add" button. The next window has three input fields. Click on the "browse" button, a list of computer folders will open. Select the desired emoticon from the folder, select it and click "open". Enter nothing in the "label" field. In the "shortcut" field, enter the character that will represent this smile. Click “OK”. Add other smilies in the same way. Make sure that the option "Display custom emoticons" is selected, otherwise you will not be able to install new emoticons.
Step 3
Download the archive with emoticons, which can be found on most sites dedicated to this type of communication. Go to the folder with the installed ICQ and copy the contents of the archive to the root / images / smilies / folder. Run the program, go to the settings, to the Messages tab - Emoticons. Click "install emoticon pack" and select the kolobok_smilies.pak package. If it doesn't work, try restarting ICQ to install new emoticons.
