Developers of popular applications provide users with the ability to independently modify their interface using "skins" - external skins that control colors, fonts and sizes of program elements. Most ICQ clients support the installation of such skins.

Instructions

Step 1

If you use the ICQ application to communicate in ICQ, select the "Settings" item in the program menu. The first section of the client configuration dialog box is called "Skin". Open it and click the "Theme Gallery" button.

Step 2

You will be shown several popular skins, which are called themes in this application. You can click on any of them and the new theme will be installed. Click the color button in the palette to change the color of the program interface instead of setting the theme.

Step 3

Click the Show More Themes button to select additional skins at www.icq.com. Click on the one you like and click the "Install" button. The theme will be added to the list, and the appearance of the application will immediately change.

Step 4

If you are using the Qip ICQ client, go to the settings dialog box by clicking the wrench button in the main program window. Go to the "Interface" menu and in the "Skins / Icons" section click the "Load more" button.

Step 5

A page with skins of the official website of Qip developers will open in the browser. First select a category (nature, culture, sports, etc.), then click on the shell image. On the left, you will see how the program interface will look after installing this skin.

Step 6

Download the new shell file to your computer and run it to complete the installation. After the installation is complete, restart Qip (close and restart the program). Go to the settings menu and select the installed skin in the "Skins / Icons" section. Apply the changes by clicking OK.
