Step 1
In the Windows operating system, you cannot uninstall a program while it is running. Even if you close all Yandex Browser windows, its active copy can still hang somewhere in the system. To detect this, right-click on the taskbar and select "Task Manager". This function can be called by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys and selecting "Start Task Manager" from the list provided.

In the "Applications" tab, find the line with the "Yandex Browser" icon, select it and click the button below "End task".

Click the "Start" button, select "Control Panel". Find "Programs and Features" among the opened icons and click on it 1 time with the left mouse button. Wait until the list of programs that are installed on your computer is fully loaded. Find Yandex in the list and select this line by clicking on it. Then click the "Delete" button.

When the window "Delete Yandex browser" appears, be sure to check the box in front of "Delete all browser settings". After that, the uninstallation of the program will begin. You will learn about its end from the opened Internet Explorer window with a strange sad ghost and the inscription "Yandex. Browser is gone."

Like most programs, Yandex Browser leaves "tails" in your operating system. They also need to be cleaned. To do this, you can use the free CCleaner utility, which you need to download on the Internet.

Launch the CCleaner program, select the "Registry" item and click the button at the bottom "Search for problems". Wait while the utility scans the registry entries in your operating system. By default, all “tails” from Yandex Browser and other remote programs are already ticked off.
Step 7
Click on the "Fix" button in the lower right corner. If the program asks whether to keep backup copies of the changes, click "No". Also click the "Fix Selected" button, wait for the process to complete, and then close the program. Reboot your computer. Now you can be sure that Yandex. Browser has been correctly and completely removed from your operating system.
