You can communicate with friends on social networks, visit various sites, download maps of the area and information about traffic jams through the navigator. All you need is Internet access. It is much more convenient for the driver to use the Internet through a GPS navigator, rather than a mobile phone, because the navigation device screen is much larger. In this case, you can go online in three ways.
It is necessary
- - navigator;
- - cellular telephone;
- - SIM card.
Instructions
Step 1
Go online through a phone with a SIM card that supports GPRS. The navigator connects to a mobile phone (communicator, smartphone) using the Bluetooth interface. This technology of wireless data transmission is in every modern phone and in most of the latest models of navigators.
Step 2
Via an add-on module if your navigator does not have a Bluetooth function.
Internet access from the navigator is carried out using CFIO- or SDIO-Bluetooth. In this case, the GPS device must have a CompactFlash slot (for CFIO-Bluetooth) or an SD slot (for SDIO-Bluetooth). Through a Bluetooth adapter, it connects to a cell phone to access the Internet. This is not very convenient, so you first need to find out about the presence of the wireless function in the navigator.
Step 3
Directly through the GPS navigator itself.
Some models of navigators have a built-in GSM / GPRS module. They are more expensive than others. They have a slot for inserting a SIM card with which you can access the Internet. In addition to Internet capabilities, such navigators can be used as a cell phone. You can receive and make calls, write messages, send MMS, write a list of contacts to the memory of a GPS device, etc.
