Instructions
Step 1
With the Import and Export tool, you can only transfer contacts, bookmarks, and news feeds. But usually there is a lot of other data left in the browser that this tool does not take into account, for example, links from the quick launch bar, mail messages, passwords, notes, etc. Therefore, it is recommended that you use an alternative backup method.
Step 2
First of all, you need to create a folder on another partition, for example, on disk D. You can use any phrase as the name, so long as you do not forget where this folder is. for example OperaSave.
Step 3
Go to your browser, open a new tab, type opera: about in the empty address bar and press Enter. Copy the value of the line "Opera folder" to the clipboard. Open Windows Explorer by pressing the Win + E key combination. Paste the contents of the clipboard using the Ctrl + V key combination and press the Enter key.
Step 4
From the list of files that opens, select and copy the following: bookmarks.adr, contacts.adr, cookies4.dat, global_history.dat, notes.adr, operaprefs.ini, speeddial.ini, wand.dat. If for some reason they are displayed without extensions, you must enable their display. In the same window, click the "Tools" top menu and select the "Folder Options" item. In the window that opens, go to the "View" tab, uncheck the "Hide extensions …" item.
Step 5
Go back to the newly created OperaSave directory and paste the copied files to the clipboard. Now you need to reopen the tab with opera: about, find the folder with mail messages and open it. In it, you need to copy the mail folder and paste it into OperaSave.
Step 6
The files you need have been backed up. On another computer, you need to open the tab and enter the address opera: about. Browse the paths to the Opera folders and Opera mail. Open these directories and copy the contents of the OperaSave folder into them, replacing the old files with the new ones.
