If we consider this concept in an abstract way, then authorization is a procedure for confirming the right of a certain person to perform a particular action. With regard to the Internet, such an action can be, for example, creating a new message on the forum, viewing statistics in the user's personal account, making a transfer in the Internet banking system, etc. The technology of network authorization is such that a set of permissions for some actions is issued not to a specific person, but to his browser. From this feature, various ways to revoke authorization follow.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the link "Logout" on the site and click it - this is the easiest way to de-authorize, which is very widely used on various web resources. This option can be worded in different ways, but it does the same thing - it de-authenticates your browser to the server. This term refers to the procedure for establishing a correspondence between the login you entered and the account existing on this site. The rights to perform certain actions are tied to this account, and if the compliance is broken, then all rights will automatically be lost, that is, authorization will be canceled.
Step 2
Perform the “manual” operation described in the previous step if there is no way to use the corresponding link on the site. During the authentication process (when you enter the system), site scripts establish a correspondence between the data of your browser (first of all, the IP address) and a specially created "session" for it. This mapping is captured by an entry in a file or database. To break such a match and thereby cancel authentication along with authorization, you must either destroy the file that stores the record, or change the session. The file can be placed on your computer - these are well-known "cookies". Whatever browser you have installed, it certainly has the option to clear cookies - use it. And to change the session, you need to close the browser and, preferably, wait ten minutes. If it is possible to disconnect and then reconnect the Internet, then this will be an even more effective method.
Step 3
If you only need to revoke authorization without revoking authentication, that is, revoke the rights to perform various actions in the system, while remaining a user recognized by this system, then you will hardly be able to do this without administrator intervention. The set of rights for various user groups in the vast majority of such systems is set in their administration systems, so you should contact the technical support operator. Ask to be transferred to another group that does not provide for the ability to carry out the operations that you want to refuse. Although, some advanced systems allow administrators to set rights for each individual user personally - check with the operator if there is such an option in your system.
