If you no longer need a mailbox on the Mail. Ru server, you can delete it if you wish. After that, all messages sent to you will be returned to the sender with a note that they cannot be delivered. Thus, the sender will be notified that you are no longer using the old mailbox.
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to your mailbox on the Mail. Ru server in the usual way. Use a standard web interface for this. Do not use a WAP or PDA interface, or a mail program.
Step 2
Make backup copies of all emails you need. Save them in the format you want (HTML, HTML with pictures, or MHT) using your browser. Also save any attachments you need to your messages. Do not forget to save anything that you will need in the future, because after deleting the box, all this information will disappear from the server forever. Do the same with all the information you need that you have stored on other Mail. Ru services ("My World" and similar ones), since all your data will also be completely deleted from there.

Please read the warning that you see on this page carefully. Read the information about what exactly will be deleted from the server besides the mailbox. Also pay attention to which box is being deleted. Do not accidentally delete the account you need instead of an unnecessary one if you have several of them on this server.
Step 5
Enter the reason for deletion (optional) and password.
Step 6
If you still agree to completely get rid of the mailbox without the possibility of recovering it, click the "Delete" button, if you change your mind, click "Decline".
Step 7
A warning window will appear. In it, click the "Ok" button to confirm the deletion or "Cancel" to cancel the operation.
Step 8
Log in to your mailbox on the Mail. Ru server in the usual way. Use a standard web interface for this. Do not use a WAP or PDA interface, or a mail program.
Step 9
If within five working days you want to restore the mailbox (but not the information stored in it!), Just enter it via the web interface using your username and password. Then click on the link that appears on the left that says "Unblock". Then enter the password again. Then log in in the usual way with the same username and password. In front of you will be the same box - but completely empty.
