Instructions
Step 1
On the right side of the open program, you must open the tab with personal data. On it you can see which avatar is currently installed, as well as edit it. Skype is equipped with the ability to take pictures via a webcam. This is convenient, as it allows its owner to frequently change his photos depending on his mood, without wasting time searching for files stored in the memory. To change the picture, you need to click on the graphic button "Edit" and go to the menu, which contains all user information, including the image.
Step 2
To the right of the photo, the inscription "Change avatar" is highlighted in blue, after clicking on which a small window opens with a screen for choosing an avatar. A person in front of a laptop sees in it a living reflection of himself. If the webcam is a separate gadget, it should be connected and pointed to the desired angle. At the bottom of the small window there are two buttons, the right one of which takes a snapshot, copies it to a folder on your hard drive and sets the default screen saver. Before saving, you can use the mouse and the slider located under the frozen photo to resize and select the desired area, after which you need to click on "Save". In the initial Skype window, the image will change to a new one.
Step 3
If at the time of installing the avatar on the head, an inappropriate hairstyle or the user simply does not like himself, you can choose an old picture. To do this, in the small change window, you must press the lower left button "Select file". A folder will open in explorer view, which contains all the photos taken via Skype. Find the desired file through the branched menu on the left, open it and save it.
Step 4
Some people prefer to show their friends and other interlocutors an arbitrary picture instead of their own image. To do this, it is drawn in one of the graphic editors or downloaded from the Internet to a computer. Further actions related to the selection of a picture are similar to the search for an old picture through the explorer. The program allows you to take not only avatars for yourself, but also photographs through a webcam mounted in a laptop, which cannot be controlled. All images are saved in the "Pictures" folder, the path to it can be found through the address bar in the window that appears when Skype searches for a suitable picture on the computer.
