The password in the mail system is used to protect the user's personal information from access to them by unauthorized persons. But if the owner of the mailbox forgets his password, he also cannot access the server until he can restore it in some way.
Necessary
- - access to the Internet;
- - RoboForm program.
Instructions
Step 1
Start your mailbox and click on the link "Forgot your password?" or the like. It can be called differently in different mail systems, but the principle of recovering secret data is the same everywhere.
Step 2
In the opened form for password recovery, enter your username or e-mail of this mail account and the symbols from the picture. Then click the Next button.
Step 3
Depending on which recovery option you chose when registering your mailbox, you will be offered one of the following options: enter your mobile phone number that you indicated when creating this mailbox, and add the code sent by sms to the proposed line; give an answer to your security question (for example, your mother's maiden name or the brand of your first car, etc.); enter the e-mail of another mailbox, which was indicated when registering the restored one. An activation letter will be sent to the specified address, which will contain a link, clicking on which will make it possible to change the forgotten password.
Step 4
On the recovery page, enter the new password twice in the proposed lines and click the "Finish" button.
Step 5
Contact the technical support service of the mail server if you are unable to change the password and restore access to the mailbox using the above methods. To do this, find a link for feedback and clearly describe your problem.
Step 6
To avoid similar problems in the future, especially if you use many different sites where you need to go through the authorization procedure, write down passwords in a notebook (electronic or regular), or on a flash drive. Alternatively, you can use RoboForm, which automatically fills out forms and remembers passwords. It also protects your sensitive data from being stolen.
