Webcasting favorably differs in that you can attend it from anywhere and just sitting at a computer connected to the network. However, with the creation of the broadcast itself, the situation is much more complicated.

Instructions

Step 1

A webcast is created using a camera (or multiple cameras) through which audio and video is transmitted to a computer or other device of the viewer. In addition, mixers are also used, which switch incoming streams from cameras. The next stage is encoding the video and sending it to the server, from which the user will receive everything.

Step 2

A special program is suitable for sending materials from one camera. It will independently capture video from a camera connected to a computer, then recode it into the desired format and send it to the server. The most common free application that can provide this functionality is Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder. However, do not forget that there are some caveats in the license agreement: for example, the program should only be used with Adobe servers. If you do not fulfill this condition, then you will be acting illegally.

Step 3

Modern broadcasts are already unthinkable without video mixers, which have become the core of the entire structure. These devices help not only to ensure good signal switching, but also to correct the image (for example, convert the format, make color correction). All mixers are divided into two groups: software and hardware.

Step 4

After looking at the main range of equipment, consider what you really need. Start from how much you are counting on and why you are creating a broadcast in general. There is a minimum and maximum scheme. The first is a set of a camera, a microphone (possibly already built-in), a computer with the Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder application installed on it and, of course, an Internet connection. In the maximum scheme, among other things, there will also be video output to monitors in real time to be shown to viewers immediately at the broadcast site. A second computer can also be used, designed only for previewing, storing recordings and mixing video. It is worth noting the increased number of cameras (4) and the presence of modems for organizing Internet access.
