It happens that when you start the browser, a page is launched that you never set home. Moreover, you do not like it and are not interested in it. Most likely, this page was forced upon you when you installed a game or program. The solution is simple - disable the home page. Your actions will depend on the browser you are using.
Instructions
Step 1
Opera. Go to the main menu of the program by clicking on the red letter "O" in the upper left corner. Select "Settings". In the drop-down menu, click General Settings. A window with several tabs will open. You need the "General" tab, which contains the field with the address of the home page. To disable it - erase the address and save the changes.
Step 2
Mozilla Firefox. Go to the "Tools" menu, click "Options", select the "General" tab. Leave the field "Home page" blank, if the address is already recorded there - delete it. Save your changes.
Step 3
Internet Explorer. Select the service menu, find "Internet Tools", open the "General" tab. A home page box will appear. To open a blank page, type "about: blank" in the field. Save your changes.
Step 4
Google Chrome. Click on the "Settings and Management" icon in the upper right corner, select the "Settings" item in the drop-down menu, go to the main settings, erase the address of the "Home page" or put a tick on the "Quick Access Page" line. All changes will be saved automatically.
Step 5
All browsers are similar to each other, so the path to setting up the home page will be similar. As a rule, you need to go to the main settings and find the field with the address. To load a blank page, you need to leave the field blank or type "about: blank". To change - enter another address.
Step 6
Check to see if the programs you have installed have a setting that writes the home page to your browser.
Step 7
Try editing the "prefs.js" file located in the "Application Data" folder. Open it with notepad and find the line with the address of the site that bothers you, and change the address to "about: blank".
Step 8
Check your computer with an antivirus program. A virus can cause the browser to malfunction.
