A menu is called animated if a video stream is selected in its background instead of a static image. The program DVD-lab Pro or Adobe Premiere 6, 5 will help to create such a menu. The video stream can be accompanied by a sound background, the length corresponding to the length of the video.

Instructions
Step 1
Install Adobe Premiere 6, 5. Launch it. Create a clip menu lasting from 30 seconds to 1 minute using this program and any graphics editor. The simplest and most understandable of the editors is PhotoImpact 8. Create a couple of pictures in it. The first is necessary to create a menu clip directly, and the second is necessary for its operation. You can use a cut from a movie or other clip. Aerobatics - to shoot your own videos and use exclusively author's material. Such a menu can be made cyclical - after the end it will start again.
Step 2
Load the clips into Adobe Premiere 6, 5. Open the Adobe Premiere 6, 5 project window and import the clips into it. To do this, transfer the required clip to the Timeline. Find the frame you are interested in and put marker 0 on it. Export the frame with the tif extension using the Ctrl + Shift + M hotkeys. Then import it into the project window.
Step 3
Clear the Timeline and remove the 0 marker. Gradually move all clips to this area, starting from the still frame. Transfer all clips to the Timeline. Adjust them. Transfer the still frame to Video 1A. Adjust the duration of the static background. Right-click on the background and in the window that opens, set a numerical value for the playback duration (ideally, from 30 seconds to 1 minute).
Step 4
Move the clip numbered 3 to video track 2. Because it is longer than the background, resize it. Trim the clip. Make a segment of it equal in length to the static background. Check the duration with the familiar method.
Step 5
Reduce the sound so that it does not interfere with your work. Click on the clip with the right mouse button and select "Disconnect Audio and Video" from the menu that opens. Transfer clip # 2 - to Video 3 to the Timeline, cut and remove the audio. And finally, transfer clip # 1 to Video 4. As a result, we got 4 equal length video segments. They are all located on the Timeline.
Step 6
Start creating a clip menu in which clips will play against the background of a static picture. Open the clip motion preference. Click on the middle of the clips (this is Video 3). It is easier to configure two adjacent ones from it. In the menu that opens, select "Video Options" - "Motion". The "Clip Motion" window will open. Click on the "Center" key. This will help center the clip. Then set the scale to 20% and the delay to 100%. Check the box next to Show All. The middle clip is tuned. It has become smaller and is fixed in the center of the screen. Click the OK button.
Step 7
Configure Video 4 and Video 2 in the same way. Just do not click on the center and add coordinates in the "Info" line. For video 4, set the coordinates to -20 and 0, as well as the scale of 20% and the delay of 100%. Video 2 - coordinates 20 and 0. Control all actions on the left screen of the monitor. Click the OK button to close the "Motion" window. View the result on the main monitor of Adobe Premiere 6, 5.
