There are two ways to do this - using special software or simply at the code level using a browser.

Step 1
The first way to create a long status on your page is by using the software for adding large statuses Vkstatus.exe. This program is free and can be easily downloaded from the Internet. In addition, it has a simple interface so that it is easy to use. The vkstatus.exe service helps to establish a long Vkontakte status, as well as edit and delete it. In addition, this program remembers the previous statuses, so with its help it is easy to switch them. After creating a multi-line status, the program can be easily minimized to the tray, and it will not bother you anymore.
Step 2
Well, if you will not use the above program in the future, or if you want to set a long status on your page for one time, then you can get by with a browser - for example, Opera. The essence of this method is that you change the size of the text field in the source code of the page, which makes it longer than the standard 160 characters.

So, we go to the page in contact through the Opera browser. Right-click on the status that we want to make longer, and select the "source code" in the window that appears (below). Next, we call the search menu using a simple key combination Ctrl + F and enter the word maxlength in the field - the tag that is responsible for the length. By default, the length of the status text is 160 characters, this value can be changed to another value or even deleted. Now you can start writing an arbitrarily long VKontakte status, without restrictions. The only drawback of this method is that if you want to constantly put a long status, then you need to constantly do this operation.
