Since its inception, the developers of the popular League of Legends game have concentrated on picking out all the elements that make Dota2 interesting. In addition, they decided to remove everything that interfered with the intuitive understanding of the game. Therefore, there are significant differences between the two games.
Dota2 includes a lot of defense mechanisms, while League of Legends is a more aggressive game. The creators of the league decided that it is better when players immediately get to the battlefield - so there are more awards for kills. Often in high-level games, 5v5 champions are fought at the first level.
League of Legends is more active - there is more mana and skills recharge faster. In general, there is always something to do. Therefore, the matches here sometimes last less (half an hour on average) than in Dota (one hour). From the start of the match, league mages and shooters can shed first blood using their skills.
Unlike Dota, the league has bushes all over the map. In them, the champion is invisible to the enemy (unless, of course, there is an enemy ward or invisible Timo). Again, it is very convenient for shooters and magicians to attack from them, however, like any tank.
Like Dota2, League of Legends is a team game, only here it is even more pronounced.
The summoner system (short for summoners) are powerful mages for whom champions fight in the Nexus. The Summoner is tied to the account of any player, the level grows in League of Legends, therefore, with each level you can pump your Summoner - this will help you in the future. But in Dota2 there is no such thing - gaining a level becomes boring after the tenth.
Dota2 is updated quite often, but League of Legends decided to go further - they have updates almost every week, new maps are added (in Dota you play only on one map, and here you have a choice), champions and opportunities.
And, of course, there is both game and real currency. You can invest money in Dota2, but you can only buy new skins for heroes and other visual effects that do not affect the gameplay in any way. But in League of Legends game currency must be spent on the champions and runes you like. Yes, the plus of Dota2 is that you can immediately play for any player, while in the league 10 free champions are provided every week - you like someone, you have to buy it in order to play for him in the future. But it makes sense to accumulate game currency, which is given for each battle (even with bots).
In general, to each his own, someone loves to play in Dota2, and someone in League of Legends. Both games are good in their own way.
