You can develop several schemes for the network connection of computers so that they all get access to the Internet using one single account. When it comes to two laptops, wireless is the smartest option.
Instructions
Step 1
Select a mobile computer that will be connected to the Internet via a network cable. This laptop will act as a router when creating a local network. Connect the provider's cable to the selected mobile computer and set up an Internet connection. Do not change the parameters of this connection at this stage.
Step 2
Check the activity of the Wi-Fi adapter of the first mobile computer. Open the control panel and select the "Network and Internet" submenu. Go to the Network and Sharing Center. Open the Manage Wireless Networks menu. Click the "Add" button in the menu that opens. From the options offered, select "Create a computer-to-computer network" and click the "Next" button in the next window.
Step 3
Fill in all the fields of the menu that appears. Enter an arbitrary network name and select any suitable security type. Enter your password and remember it. Activate the function "Save the parameters of this network" by putting a check mark in front of the corresponding inscription. Click the "Next" button and close the program window.
Step 4
Open the menu displaying a list of active network connections. Right-click on the internet connection icon and select Properties. Open the Access menu. Activate Internet sharing for networked computers. In the next field, enter the wireless network you created. Save the settings for this menu.
Step 5
Turn on the second laptop. Search for available Wi-Fi networks with the wireless adapter turned on. Connect to the newly created network. If after that the second mobile computer did not gain access to the Internet, then set a static IP address for the wireless adapter of the first laptop. Enter its value in the fields "Default gateway" and "Preferred DNS server", opening the TCP / IP protocol settings of the adapter of the second laptop.
