Who can you get married with in Skyrim?
The only drawback of the wedding system in Skyrim is the inability to marry any character. Only a few residents of the northern province of Tamriel can be asked for their hands: among them the most are the Imperials and the least of all the beastmen - the Argonians and the Khajiit. For example, in Windhelm, a male hero can marry the local beauty Viola Giordano, in Whiterun there are several options - Carlotta Valentia or Ria of Jorrvaskr, and in Riverwood, the merchant's sister Camilla Valeria can also agree to marry. Potential husbands are also the most among the Nords and Imperials: several dozen characters in various cities, and some can be found in the most inappropriate places - for example, in Keene Grove you will meet Roggy, nicknamed the Beard Knot, and in the College of Winterhold, you can marry Omund. How to get married in Skyrim?
Before offering a character a hand and a heart, several conditions must be met. First, some will not even talk about the topic until you complete the related assignment. For example, associates from Jorrvaskr can only marry after you have completed all of their quests. To marry or marry a mercenary, you must first hire him. Isolde from Whiterun will ask you to find a mammoth tusk for her, and Camilla Valeria will agree to a marriage only after you find a stolen golden claw for her brother. The most unusual conquest of the bride is to defeat her in a fist fight, then Utgerd the Unbroken, who lives in Whiterun's tavern, can consider you as a groom.
Secondly, you need to find the amulet of the goddess Mara - by putting it on, you show others that you are ready for marriage. In this case, when meeting with a suitable character, new dialogues appear. You can buy the amulet from the priest of Mary in Riften, but many heroes find it in the dungeons and ruins of ancient Nordic buildings.
After agreeing with the character you like, go to the temple of Mary in Riften. Maramal serves there and organizes the ceremony upon request. He will ask you to come the next morning. To avoid mistakes, it is better to wait outside the temple in the morning. When you enter the temple of Mary after dawn, the ceremony will begin, the priest will hand you a ring and announce the marriage.
After the wedding, you can live together, you just need to agree on which house: either in one of yours, or with your spouse. For spending the night in a common house, the hero is given a 15% bonus to speed up the learning of skills.
