After you find a suitable name for your site, blog, page or forum, you will need to check if it is free. There are more than 160 million domain names registered on the network today, so the likelihood that someone has already thought of using the same domain is not so small.
Instructions
Step 1
To check if you have the opportunity to register a particular domain name, the first step is to go to the domain check service page. Each official domain registrar and reseller has such services and they are usually located on the main page, so you won't have to search for a long time. For example, go to the home page of one of the largest Russian registrars RU-CENTER
Step 2
Then enter the domain name you are interested in in the appropriate form - on the RU-CENTER website it is located on a bright orange spot right in the center of the page. Click the Check button.
Step 3
Having received your request, the service scripts will search the databases of registrars of different domain zones and give you a summary of the results. The Ru-Center service has four tabs. The first one ("Popular") contains the names of the domain you specified in the zones that Ru-Center considers the most popular. Here you will immediately see if the domain you need is free in any zone. If he is busy, then by clicking on the link on the words "busy" you can view his registration information, including the date of the end of the paid registration and contact numbers and addresses of the owner. The “Russian” tab contains similar data for the su and ru domain zones, and the “International” tab - for the “out-of-territory” zones (com, net, org, biz, etc.). The "Foreign" tab contains search results for domain zones assigned to other countries.
Step 4
Sometimes it is necessary to check even several dozen domain names. It is not necessary to repeat the operation several dozen times - many such services have separate forms for checking domain lists. On the Ru-Center website, it is posted here - https://www.nic.ru/cgi/na.cgi?step=n_a.na_extended. In the input field, list the required names (one per line) and click the "Check" button.
