It is very easy to develop sites on the Ucoz platform. The system allows you to quickly create interactive professional sites based on standard templates. Advanced users can use their own designs and php scripts.
Instructions
Step 1
The Ucoz platform makes it possible to develop dynamic pages without programming. For this, special substitution codes are used, which are processed by the server before serving the page to the visitor. In order to create a new menu on the Ucoz website, you need to add a new staging code, write down menu items and links to web pages in it.
Step 2
Log into the site administration panel. To do this, you must enter the username and password specified during registration. After logging in, go to the main page of the admin panel. In the main menu, expand the "Design" item and click on "Menu Builder".
Step 3
In the upper right corner in the drop-down list, select the "Create menu" option. Enter a name for the new menu and how it will be displayed. The name is displayed only in the "Menu Designer" of the admin control panel, and is not displayed on the site pages. The vertical menu items will be shown one above the other in several lines. The horizontal menu items will be displayed one after the other in one line.
Step 4
Press the "Add menu item" button, enter the name of the first item and a link. The link is to point to the page where the user will go by selecting this menu item with the mouse. The "Open in new window" option allows you to set the behavior of the browser when you click on a link. If selected, the page will open in a new window.
Step 5
Add as many menu items as needed. Make sure that the points are not repeated. After creating the items, you can edit them by clicking the button with the pencil image opposite the desired menu item. The button with a cross is used to delete. Deletion occurs beyond recovery.
Step 6
Copy the substitution code. It is located in the rectangle immediately after the menu name. The substitution code must be inserted in the place on the site where you want to place the element. Use the page editor or template editor to insert. Any changes made in the "Menu Builder" will be displayed on all pages of the site automatically.
Step 7
When the work on creating the menu is finished, check the correspondence of the names of the menu items and the content of the pages to which the links lead. If an error occurs, go to the Menu Builder and fix it.
