Calendars look very nice on some web resources. Sometimes they are very versatile, sometimes just a line of a few words and numbers. If your site also needs a calendar, then you should start with some simple option.

Step 1
The easiest option is to use a ready-made Flash component. Such a calendar does not require customization, adding additional script codes and styles to the pages. You can take a ready-made flash calendar, for example, on the website FlashScope. This site, along with the file to be inserted into the site page, also provides its source code. If you have the desire and some skills to work with flash editors, then with the source code, you can change the design and functionality of the calendar
Step 2
After picking up the calendar and preparing the executable swf file, upload it to your site server. You can use the file manager for this from the content management system or from the control panel of your hosting company. And you can download it using FTP-protocol using a resident program - FTP-client.

After that, prepare the code to embed the Flash calendar into the page sources. A minimal set of HTML tags might look something like this:
Use this HTML as a template to embed your calendar. There are two places where you need to resize - the width and height of the Flash object is here given by the and attributes. Find them in the code and replace the numbers with the appropriate sizes for your calendar. Similarly, you need to change the file name in two places - the attributes value = "calendar.swf" and src = "calendar.swf" are indicated here. Find them and replace calendar.swf with your file name.
Step 4
It remains to insert the prepared code into the HTML source. After downloading the site of the page to your computer, open it in a regular text editor. Alternatively, you can use the CMS page editor to change the code directly in your browser online. In this case, having opened the page, you must switch the editor to the HTML code editing mode. In the page code, you need to find the place where you want to see the flash calendar, copy and paste the prepared HTML code. Then save the page with your changes. If it was edited on your computer, upload it back to the server.
