The ICQ instant messaging service supports the transfer of files from device to device. This transfer can be carried out both through special servers for storing photos, and through a direct communication channel between ICQ users. Alternative clients of this protocol have the largest number of file transfer functions.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the third-party ICQ client - QIP Infinum and go to its settings. In the settings window, open the General tab and check the box next to the Enable file transfer option. Select the "Direct" line when choosing a file transfer method.
Step 2
Open the correspondence with the desired contact and in its window click on the "Send file" button (as a rule, it is located between the text entry field and the correspondence). In the opened file manager, select the required photo and open it. After that, the text "Sending a file …" will appear in the correspondence, next to which there will be a "Cancel" button. After that the addressee will have to press the "Accept" button, as a result of which the connection will be established and the file will be transferred.
Step 3
In the file transfer parameters of QIP Infinum settings, check the "File transfer via web server" line. After that, open the correspondence window with the contact to whom you want to send the photo, and click on the "Send file" button. Find and select the image you want. As a result, the selected photo will be uploaded to the server, and the addressee will receive a download link in the message, which will be relevant for several hours.
Step 4
Add the image to any free photo hosting. After uploading the photo, you will see the image, embed codes and links to it. To send a photo via ICQ, copy and send the link to the uploaded file to the contact.
