A visitor to a web page may want to write a review about the site. Sharing your impressions by sending a letter to the administrator is not entirely reasonable. Better to write to the site's guestbook. How to do it correctly?
Instructions
Step 1
Find a guestbook. It can be hidden under the section "Reviews", "Your opinions" and something like that. Please note that some sites, especially large resources, do not have guest books at all.
Step 2
Fill in the information about yourself. In the "Name" field, you can enter your real name (with a patronymic and / or last name) or your nickname (Internet pseudonym). The “e-mail” field is usually required, but at the same time it is not published in the guest book itself - this will also be discussed additionally. You will receive notifications on your e-mail in case of a reply to your message.
Sometimes the "www" ("home page" or "site") field may be present. If you have your own Internet resource, be sure to indicate it here - this way you will help your website or blog to get better.
Step 3
Now get down to writing a review. What to write about in the guestbook? This can be a general impression of the site, a wish for the project for further development and success. If the site does not have a section of questions about the resource, you can also ask them in the guest book. If you suddenly have an idea that, in your opinion, could improve this site, you can also express it in the guestbook.
Step 4
It is also possible to point out errors, but this should be done in the correct form. It is unlikely that an administrator will like it if he is rather rudely poked at spelling or design mistakes. By the way, some design notes can be very useful for site developers. If you have a horizontal scrollbar, or the design looks out of place and sloppy, please report it in the guestbook. Do not forget to indicate your monitor resolution and the browser you are using.
Step 5
Netiquette (a kind of Internet etiquette) does not imply starting entries in the guestbook with "Hello, site administration …" and ending with "Sincerely, Ivan Ivanov." However, on some serious websites of companies or any institutions, different rules of courtesy may be adopted. Therefore, before writing to the guestbook, review the entries of other visitors.
