ICQ is a popular instant messaging service. Account settings in the system can be managed both through the official website of the resource, and through the client application.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the official website ICQ.com in your browser window. To do this, click on the icon of the program that you use to browse the Internet, and enter the resource address in the corresponding line of the browser, which is located at the top of the window that appears.
Step 2
To change your password, you will first need to go through the authorization procedure. To do this, on the loaded ICQ main page, click on the "Login" link, which is located in the upper right corner of the window.

On the new page, enter your UIN and the password that you use to access your account using the ICQ program. Instead of UIN, you can also indicate your e-mail if it is linked to your account and was specified during registration. After entering the data, click "Login" and wait for your profile page to load. If this did not happen, click on your name in the upper right corner of the service page. In the menu that appears, select Options.
Step 4
In the top menu, select "Support" and in the drop-down list, and then click the link "Change password". You will be prompted to enter your current account password in the appropriate field on the screen.
Step 5
In the New Password field, enter the password you want to use instead of the old one. You should not specify a sequence of characters that will contain Russian letters - this may cause authorization denial in some clients and cause an error when trying to enter the ICQ website. Also, the password cannot contain your UIN number, first name, last name or account name.
Step 6
Click "Save". If all the fields were specified correctly, the entered number will be saved and you will be prompted to re-authorize. To return to your profile page, re-enter your UIN and new password on the login page. ICQ password change completed.
