The name of Steve Jobs is known to everyone who deals with computers and understands modern innovations. As one of the founders of Apple, he took IT technology to the next level. They decided to honor the memory of Jobs in St. Petersburg by announcing a competition for the best monument to the founder of the iconic company.
The organization and conduct of the competition is carried out by the IT Progress Fund group. According to representatives, anyone can take part in the competition - both a professional architect and an amateur artist. Any ideas are welcome, from a classic stele to an electronic installation. The main thing is that the work is original. Participants could initially submit their projects until August 6, but later the deadlines were extended until August 18, 2012.
In order to submit their work to the competition, the participant simply needs to visit the organizer's website. On it, in the appropriate section, the minimum requirements are described in detail and available. The project is executed in any way convenient for the author. It can have visual or musical accompaniment. The only limitation is that the size of the files attached to the application should not exceed 10 MB. Participants send their letters with projects to the organizers' email address, which is indicated on the same site. For convenience, there is also a form for sending an application.
Also, works that cannot be sent electronically (for example, 3d models) can be brought directly to the company's office located on Suvorovsky Prospect. Such issues are discussed separately with each author, and the Progress IT Fund promises to meet the participants of the competition halfway.
On the twenty-fourth of August "Progress IT Fund" intends to take stock. In addition to the erection of the monument that won the competition, the winners were also promised "apple" gifts. The first place winner will receive an iPad. The silver medalist will win the iPhone 4S 16Gb, while the third place winner will receive the new iPhone 4 8Gb. When choosing the winners, both the opinion of the jury and site visitors will be taken into account. It will be possible to view the projects and vote for the one you like on the group's website after the applications are closed.
