You can send an SMS message to a mobile phone not only from another phone, but also from a computer connected to the Internet. To do this, you can use both the operator's website and some instant messaging programs.
Instructions
Step 1
To send a message from the official website of the operator, first go to it, and then select from the list of regions the one in which the addressee is located. Then find on the main page a link called "Send SMS" or similar.
Step 2
After clicking on the link, enter the following information:
- subscriber number;
- Message text;
- captcha.
Step 3
Sending "glued" messages from the operator's site is impossible. If the Cyrillic message does not fit into the form, type it in Latin letters, or use automatic transliteration.

Make sure all the entered data is correct.
Step 5
Click on the button intended for sending a message (different operators may call it differently).
Step 6
A link appears to check the status of the message. Use it to periodically check whether it has arrived until the submission is successful.

Don't worry about your post being cached by search engines. By now, almost all such flaws on the operators' sites have been fixed. If you are not sure about this, contact the support service and ask the consultant about the situation with the correction of these defects with your operator in your region.

To send a message via the instant messaging system, first make sure that you are using the Mail. Ru Agent or ICQ. Then assign a phone number to this or that contact (how to do this depends on the official or alternative client you are using; in the second case, it may not have such a function). Then select the item corresponding to sending an SMS message in the contact's context menu, type it and send it. In this way, only a few messages can be sent per day. Be sure to warn the recipient in advance that the message will come from a short number, and it is better not to answer it, since the answer will be charged at higher rates. If he does answer, you will see the result right in the client.
