For one reason or another, some e-mail boxes lose relevance for their owners. Not all services allow you to delete unwanted mailboxes, but you can at least delete an account from your mail client. For example, one that is built into the Opera browser.
Instructions
Step 1
Open your Opera browser. The order of access to certain menus required to delete mail differs depending on whether the main menu bar is enabled in the program or not.
Step 2
If the panel with the main menu is enabled (you can find out about this by the presence of the buttons "File", "Edit", "View", etc. at the top of the program), you can do the following.

Click the menu item "Tools"> "Mail and Chat", in a new window select the account you want to delete (if it is one, you do not need to select anything), and then click on the "Delete" button, it is located on the right side of the window. Next, a window will appear warning that all messages that were saved using Opera will be deleted along with the deleted account. Click OK to confirm the deletion and then Close to return to your browser. This method is suitable for e-mails with both IMAP and POP protocols.
Step 4
The second method can be used only for accounts with IMAP mail protocols. Click the Mail> IMAP Folders menu item. A new window will appear, on the left side of which is the "Account" list. Select the required e-mail in it and click on the drop-down menu "Account", which is located above. In the list that appears, select "Delete", OK in the new window and OK in the next one.
Step 5
If the panel with the main menu is disabled, click on the button with the Opera icon, which is located in the upper left corner of the program. Then select "Mail and Chat" and follow the instructions above.
