But sometimes a situation arises when an unprepared user has a need to administer a site created by someone. In this case, the need to add new pages to the resource or change existing ones can become a serious problem.

Step 1
First, make sure you can access the page files through your site's control panel. You should be able to edit pages, delete them, and add them.

In order not to create a new page from scratch, take as a basis an existing one, as close as possible to it in design. Copy the page to your computer, then open it in a html editor. One of the simplest and most convenient editors is Cute HTML, which can be downloaded for free on the Internet.

For complex pages, it's best to use the visual site builder Adobe Dreamweaver. It has two modes of operation: in one you see the page code, you can edit it. In the second, convenient for beginners, you will see the page just like in a browser, but you will be able to change its elements. That is, you can insert or delete text, columns, pictures, etc. etc. All this is done by simple actions - selection, dragging with the mouse.

Although Dreamweaver allows you to compose your page visually, you need to know the basics of HTML. Download any HTML tutorial or browse the internet for tutorials. Knowing what certain elements of the code are responsible for will help you when you have problems with the correct display of the page.
Step 5
When creating a new page, take the old navigation system as a basis, but change the link parameters as needed. Do not forget that links from other pages of the site (at least one) should lead to the new page, so they will also need to be improved. As a rule, such revision is very simple, you will need to enter a new line in the menu indicating the address of the added page. Just find the required list in the html-code and add another one based on the lines already existing in it.

After the page is ready, save it under the desired name. Then go to your site control panel and upload a new page. If you have posted images on the page, they also need to be uploaded. Remember that for the correct display of the pictures, the paths must be correctly assigned to them. Search the web for information about relative and absolute paths to help you work with links.
Step 7
Go to the site and check the functionality of the added pages. Be sure to check how menu items, link clicks, etc. work. If everything is working properly, then you have coped with the task.
